Evidence for The Prophecies of God
In my book, This is The Meaning of Life. I share 100 prophecies of God from the Holy Bible.
But how can you know for sure the prophecies were not added to the scriptures after the event?
Let me give you an example of just one prophecy.
The Bible is a collection of writings dating back 3,400 years.
They begin in 1.400 BC (before the birth of Jesus Christ) and end before 100 AD.
So while the collection of scriptures covers a period of 1,500 years, 44 of these became known as the Old Testament, and were completed within 1,000 years.
Then there was a 400-year gap until the birth of Jesus Christ, when another 22 were completed within 100 years. These became known as the New Testament.
And so the Christian Holy Bible is a collection of scriptures known as the books of the Bible.
The 44 books of the Old Testament and 22 books of the New Testament. 66 books, but all contained in just one book, the Holy Bible.
In the Gospel of Luke 24:27, of the New Testament, Jesus reveals that beginning with Moses and all the prophets of the Old Testament, he told them all things prophesied by God about himself.
So, is it true?
At the time when Jesus made this statement, there had been a gap of some 400 years since the last book of the Old Testament. The religious leaders and those who dedicated their lives to making exact copies of the scriptures for future generations, ensured the most recent copies were word-for-word copies of the original manuscripts.
Also, it was the religious leaders who had Jesus Christ crucified for claiming equality with God. So they would never have allowed anyone to add anything to the Old Testament scriptures that proved Jesus Christ was the only Son of God.
If you take a look at the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy, chapter 18, beginning at verse 15. You will read of God speaking to Moses, telling Moses that in the future God will send another prophet to the people who will be like Moses.
In my book, This is The Meaning of Life, Chapter 4. God Reveals The Future, pages 91-96. I have written (in some detail) of how this prophecy of God to Moses was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Also, if you look through the history of the world over the past 3,400 years, the only person who could have been like Moses is Jesus Christ.
With the modern methods of dating ancient manuscripts, it is clear the prophecy of God could not have been added 1400 years after the event. And when you add that one prophecy together with the other 99 prophecies of God, then you know it cannot be a coincidence. The prophecies of God are true.
They also prove Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, and the only way to God is through Jesus Christ.
They prove that only though Jesus Christ can our sins be forgiven and we become children of God and inheritors of God’s Kingdom of Heaven.
But the teachers can’t teach that to our children, because it would be upsetting to those of other faiths!
As a result, most children leave school having been taught religion, yet most of them leave school as atheists. Why? Because they were never taught about the evidence for God. They don’t know the meaning of life is to prepare for eternal life in Heaven.
Is it because the curriculum prevents the teachers from teaching these things?
Is it because many of the teachers don’t know or care about the evidence for God?
Is it because they don’t know how to pray to God and Listen to God for an answer?
Is it because some teachers have never experienced the love, joy, peace, power and presence of God in their life through Jesus Christ?
Or is it because they don’t want to offend the atheists and those of other religions?
Thankfully, for those who do want to know about the evidence for God and Jesus Christ. For those who want to experience the love of God in their life and be guided through life by God. For those who want to learn how to love God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength, and want to love one another as themselves. For those who want to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
For all of you who want these things, they are waiting for you to receive them through Jesus Christ and the Christian Holy Bible.
